01 / From requirement to review

Make the buying
requirement explicit.

A useful shortlist starts with a clear requirement. Keep what you are looking for in view, review matching listed stock and bring the questions back to the agent.

01

Describe the requirement.

Set species, head and delivery-weight ranges, a delivery window and a recorded per-head budget. Pause a requirement when it should stop participating in matching.

02

Review listed supply.

Inspect ranked matches and the recorded reasons behind them. Distinguish observed weights, estimated projections, delivery plans and labelled price-guide bases.

03

Record what arrives.

Keep purchases and expected remaining head in view. Record deliveries as they arrive, including part loads, so the outstanding head remain clear.

  1. 01 / Supply meets demand

    Each buyer’s brief, kept standing.

Buyers keep standing requirements: head, delivery weight, delivery window and budget per head. LAOS ranks the listed stock that fits and shows the reasons for each match.

    • A brief stays live until it is paused
    • Every match shows its reasons
    • A buyer’s notes stay with the agencies it works with

  2. 02 / The market

    Where supply and demand sit.

Listed supply, buying demand and transport on one map, limited to the records your organisation can see.

  3. 03 / Arrival

The truck, the arrival, the count.

The feedlot sees what is coming, when and from whom. Part loads are recorded as they arrive, so the number still to come is clear.

    • Several trucks to one sale, one freight plan
    • Part and full receivals
    • Days on feed from the record

Every screen here was captured from LAOS on 5 Nov 2026, on a fictional sample farm. Names, properties and figures are invented, and dates in the screens are that day’s. Declarations are recorded as people make them; LAOS does not yet check them against NLIS or the ISC.

Useful records, clear boundaries

Know what’s expected.
Know what’s recorded.

Requirements and recorded progress make the buying work clearer while preserving their source and limits.

Matching informs a conversation.

Ranked supply supports your review. It is not a guaranteed offer, arrival, availability or suitable purchase.

Capacity is reported information.

See reported capacity alongside intake records, with the source and context clear. These figures depend on the records your team maintains.

Access remains scoped.

A listed offer does not automatically expose private mob history, photographs, property identifiers or other records outside your permission.
